A”round” the Studio

Dr. Mars Lans hand-paints what will soon become a lecture podium for The Mayor of Highland Park.

Rita Lans applies the second coat of paint to one of two Custom displays being made for Ray Price Harley Davidson of Raleigh, North Carolina. Rita will top off the displays with unique motorcycle saddle bag planters, which she designed and fabricated by hand. The finished piece can be seen on the AdverTires™ page under “Hog-Tired”.

Painted tires await the next stages of assembly in The Earth Tire Foundation’s studio in Highland Park.

Rita is seen assembling a Candelabra base by covering a relatively hard to find 13 inch tire with an interesting tapestry. The completed piece can be seen on the SculpTires™ page under “It Wouldn’t Have Taken 40 Years if You Drove”.
